This week I have been completely focused on finishing my low poly model, I'm starting to get a little panicky now as most people have progressed onto finalising their high poly models and I've only just started researching this, in future I'm going to need to drop my perfectionisms and force myself to allot timeframes for each process of asset creation pipeline, just be happy and content with the designs that I come up with within that period.

The creation process for my low poly has proved quite difficult, my final concept had features that had been left quite vague, and I have seemed to overlooked certain aspects of how my sentry would function correctly, but as I didn't want to spend even more time going back to work on concepting, I made the mistake of modelling blind with the creation of the stands and the pivot machinery without any form of reference (something I will not be attempting again). As well as this I had to change the design of certain aspects from my concept as they didn't really translate well in to 3D, this being the torch on the side which seems to look more like a 50's Art Deco design which has now be replaced with a camera, as well as this I also removed the rectangular shaped scanner attached to the side as the addition of the camera clutters the design too much, also I removed the wire hanging from the right side, which was a big shame as this was my favourite part of the model and i felt it made the silhouette strong, but I realised I was not skilled enough to rig this so it would stay static as the top body moves on its axis. Finally I have made improvements to the frenzy box's initially bland design, the box is now bulkier which now stands out and is easier to recognise as machinery back from that time period.
